Papers of Nathan Marsh Pusey, 1944-1978 (inclusive).

Includes Nathan Pusey's correspondence, as President of Lawrence College, with the Harvard Appointment Office; reports and addresses, 1944-1953, at Lawrence; addresses during his presidency at Harvard; and unpublished report, commissioned by Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, entitled: Innovation in Liberal Arts Colleges. Report is by M. Brick and E. E. McGrath, and dated 1968. Also medal commemorating the centenary of the birth of Lauro Muller and address given at 50th reunion class dinner of Class of 1928. Pusey graduated from Harvard in 1928 and served as President of Harvard University from 1953 to 1971.

Nathan Marsh Pusey (1907-2001) was the twenty-fourth president of Harvard University from 1953 to 1971. He was also president of Lawrence College (1944-1953), president of The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation (1971-1975), and president of the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia (1978-1983).
